Hoso Taka is defeated at Settsu by Hoso Haru and commits suicide.

A civil war breaks out within the Honganji leadership of Kaga province.

1532 - First year of Temmon, 'The Re-awakening'

Hoso Haru and the Ishi Hong monto force Miyo Moto to commit suicide.

Môri Teru, grandson of Môri Moto, is born.

1534

Oda Nobu is born in Nagoya castle on the 5th month, 12th day and given the name 'Kippôshi'.

Hoso Fuji is born.

1536

Nagao Tame, the Uesugi's Echigo govenor, is defeated and killed in battle by the Kaga Ikko-ikki at Sendanno.

Go-Nara finally recieves an official enthronement ceremony, thanks in part to funding from Oûchi Yoshi.

The Tenmon Hokke Disturbance occurs. Troops backed by Mt. Hiei and the Hong attack Kyoto and burn most of the Nichiren temples within

Imaga Yoshi wins a power struggle with his brothers and assumes control of Suruga following the death of his father Uji.

Toyo Hide is born.

1538

Hôjô Ujitsu defeats Sato Yoshi and Ashi Yoshi at the 1st Battle of Konodai in Musashi province.

1539

Miyo Chokei leads an army into Kyoto.

The Oûchi clan assumes control of all 'official' trade with China.

October 9 Iriki-in Shigeto captures Satsu from Shimazu Sane.

1540

October Ama Aki unsuccesfully attempts to capture Môri Moto's Koriyama Castle in Aki province through seige.

October Sato Yoshi turns back a Hôjô push into Awa Province.

November Sue Haru arrives with an Oûchi relief army and relieves Koriyama.

Oda Nobu captures Anjo castle in Mikawa.

Nanbu Haru clashes with the Toza clan in northern Mutsu.
